Delicious Mediocrity is a podcast that was started by Derek Sheen, Adam Smith and Joe Henry. The original idea for the podcast was to record three hosts yelling at each other in front of confused guests. To ensure that someone was yelling at someone else at all times, they would often book five or six guests.

Needless to say, this quickly became one of the most popular podcasts among self-abusive shut-ins who like to be screamed at all day.

But the cruel wheel of time marches on, crushing fleeting mortals beneath it's heel. 1 First to go was Joe. He now lives in another country illegally. I can't tell you which country, because when Joe talks to me I just hear a high pitched ringing in a my ears so I don't know what he said. I think it's north of the United States.

As is often the case in the world of broadcasting, during an interview a guest of the show asked if he could take over for a departing host. Despite his lack of yelling credentials, Derek and Adam said yes.

More time wheel boot crushing ensues. Adam moves to LA to do something. I'm not sure what. (When Adam talked, I would get lost in his puppy dog eyes and never remember anything he said.) Probably acting or music.

So that's it. Now it's Derek Sheen and former guest Douglas Gale. If you need a reason to listen to this podcast, that's it. Almost certainly you'll be a guest one day. And from there, it's just a short hop to co-hosting!

1. The wheel of time is odd. Picture a giant wheel with boots attached all along the outside. When the time wheel rolls forward, each boot in turn touches the ground. This allows it to crush things.
